Cycling against cancer! The 1000km is an annual cycling peloton with thousands of participants, the proceeds of which go to scientific cancer research. The concept is simple: any team that collects 5,500 euros can participate in the 1000 km. As Democo Group, we support the participation of several teams every year!

Relay for Life is the solidarity movement of the Foundation against Cancer that honors people who have or have had cancer. At the same time, it also collects money for scientific cancer research and local projects that contribute to the well-being of patients and their loved ones.

International Multiple Sclerosis Organization promotes collaboration between the care personnel of the National MS Center, provides rehabilitation materials to patients in need and organizes recreational, information and welfare activities to provide financial support to persons with MS.

In the aftermath of the disastrous earthquake that hit parts of Turkey, we organised a fundraiser in cooperation with the City of Genk, to help the victims. In total, some 4,675 euros were collected. Many clothes, toys and hygienic materials were also collected.

Fonavibel is the National Relief Fund for Victims of the Belgian Air Force and aims to offer financial and moral support in the event of the death of an Air Force employee (military or civilian), deceased in active service.

The Warmest Week is VRT's solidarity campaign, organised annually in the week before Christmas with a different theme each time. Thanks to the many initiatives of our colleagues, we collected 6,000 euros with the sale of soup, cakes and sweets.

M-Lisada is a shelter network in Uganda, Kampala and Kalangala. The organization is committed to vulnerable children in extreme poverty, without parents, without a home or with a history of abuse. They help 1,300 children each year through child protection and reunification, psychosocial support and education programs.

This wheelchair basketball team was founded in 2007 and has grown into a team that competes at the top of Belgian competitions. There is also a youth team for young talent. United on Wheels is linked to Hubo Limburg United, first division team and winner of the Belgian Cup 2022.

Democo Group - together with Tectum Group - put its weight behind a collection campaign for Ukraine. We collected various relief goods, including clothes, towels, baby items, hygiene products, medical supplies, food and 2,000 litres of drinking water.

De Lift Education vzw is een informaticaschool voor jongeren met een autismespectrumprofiel die een voorbereiding biedt op de arbeidsmarkt. Via aangepast secundair onderwijs tracht deze school te zorgen dat leerlingen met autisme niet langer 'uit de boot vallen' maar een 'lift' krijgen naar een zinvolle toekomst.

Democo Group sponsored the Mijnhappening, a wonderful multicultural public festival that takes place annually at be-MINE in Beringen. At Democo Group, we place great importance on promoting diversity and inclusion, and this event aligns perfectly with our values. It was a day filled with culture, unity, and celebration, and we are proud to have contributed to it.

Democo Group and Democo Poland have jointly donated €10,000 to the mayor of Tarnowo Podgórne in Poland. This contribution has been specifically allocated to the municipality of Bardo, one of the areas most affected by the recent floods in Southwest Poland. The donation has been used to purchase essential equipment, such as drying machines and cleaning supplies, to help repair the damage and support the local community in getting back on its feet.

Democo Group sponsored the immersion trip of Hasp-O Zepperen to Madagascar, where students worked on projects related to water, the environment and health. Thanks to their efforts – and our support – a vulnerable region received practical help and a hopeful message.
